Overview
Subaru's Defensive Driver Training Course is a 'hands on' training program offered at Subaru Interactive @ Docklands. The facility has been providing both Subaru and non-Subaru drivers with specialist tuition for over 7 years.
The course aims to provide drivers of varying ages with skills that assist in increasing the level of expertise behind the wheel. The course is supported by its own fleet of driver training vehicles, skidpan facility, plus a cinema as a classroom.
Course Content
This 1-day course has been designed for both Subaru and non-Subaru drivers. Emergency braking, swerving under duress and tackling oversteer/understeer are all demonstrated on the day.
The teaching style follows the concept of 'learning through interactivity'. The day is made up of a 50:50 mix of practical and theory components.
For all practical components, participants are placed behind the wheel of Subaru's own vehicle fleet. This fleet is made up of late model Subaru's as well as front and rear wheel drive vehicles from other manufacturers. Both manual and automatic vehicles are available on all courses.
Our Instructors
Our instructors are from Driver Education Centre of Australia (DECA), a well established training provider. All training is conducted within a safe environment.
